The 1500 Series Filter-Regulator “Piggyback” from ARO is a compressed air filter-regulator (FRL) unit designed to remove contaminants and stabilize downstream air pressure for pneumatic systems. ARO-Flo compressed air filters are designed to remove airborne solid and liquid contaminants. Filters can be ordered with different elements, including coalescing models which are capable of removing oil aerosols and particles down to 0.3 micron. Standard filters are sold with 5-micron elements; 40-micron elements can be purchased and installed separately.
A “piggyback” combination design keeps the filter and regulator in a single compact housing, simplifying installation on crowded air lines. Optional coalescing elements extend contaminant removal down to fine aerosols and sub-micron particulate, which is important for sensitive pneumatic instruments and finishing equipment where clean, dry air is essential to consistent performance.
