SS800 Series Air Starters

The SS800 Series Air Starters is an industrial pneumatic air motor built to deliver dependable rotary power in applications where electric motors are impractical or unsafe. The SS800 Series air starters feature a vane motor and run on natural gas. This series comes with pre-engage and inertia engagement types, as well as caged or overhung nose options, and can be rotated both counterclockwise and clockwise.

Pneumatic air motors convert compressed air into smooth rotary motion without the fire risk, sparking, or overheating concerns of electric drives, which makes them the standard choice for hazardous-location work such as engine barring, mixing, conveying, and winching. Because they stall safely under overload rather than burning out, air motors also tend to outlast electric alternatives in continuous-duty or start-stop production environments.
